Hi baba,
This is an update to the previous email titled 'Ongoing Investigation - Possible SSR Block in China'. We have confirmed that on 24/01/18 at around 09:00 AM (CST) which we believed the Great Firewall of China (高墙) began blocking all IP addresses associated with Shadow Socks (SSR/SS) installations, and some IP addresses that were flagged as false positives were also blocked.
We are not 100% sure with regard to the block, however, we asked multiple clients if they had installed SS or SSR on their cloud server, which majority of them had answered yes
If your server(s) were affected by this block, you can add an additional IP at a cost of $0.5 /mo in order to temporarily restore its service. We still are not 100% accurate weather 高墙 identifies SSR or SS, however, we assume so.
If you did not have SSR installed in your instance and your IP address was still blocked, please open a support ticket and send us the details of your service interruption so that our team can assist you with swapping an IP
Since we have no way of restoring the connectivity of the blocked IP addresses or preventing them from getting blocked by the 高墙 in the future, we will be adding newer IP ranges.
